为了丰富我校高一学生的校园生活，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性，同时搭建学生展示英语风采的平台，2023年12月4日，回龙观校区高一年级举办了主题为“英”你而唱，“语”众不同的英文歌曲合唱比赛。

主持人精彩的开篇为合唱比赛拉开序幕。

经过45分钟的精彩展示，本次比赛共产生了最佳创意奖，最佳团队奖，最佳演唱奖，最佳人气奖，最佳台风奖。

一次历练，一次成长，更是一个印记。本次英文合唱比赛历时一个月的精心准备，从选歌到排练，学生们都投入了高度的热情。在这个过程中，同学们的奇思妙想汇聚生发，放飞纸飞机更是带来了令人拍案叫绝的效果，你方唱罢我登场，他们以大方自信的姿态呈现出一场精彩绝伦的合唱表演，并在过程中精进自我，享受舞台，同学们感受到了英语的魅力，在学习歌曲的过程中提高了英语口语能力，提升了说英语的自信，提高了同学们学习英语的积极性。今天的舞台属于每一个人。

学生参加完合唱比赛的感受：

As an English host for the first time, I felt very excited and nervous. Although I had some hosting experience before, this all-English hosting was obviously something I had never experienced. In the preparation stage, I carefully completed the full English speech and revised it for many times. On the day of the event, although I was very nervous, I tried my best to adjust my status. Thanks to the excellent performance of the two partners, we successfully finished this difficult task. The difficulties and setbacks disappeared, leaving only a full sense of achievement.

高一9班 刘兴宇

To enhance the student’s passion in learning English, the English singing competition turned out to be a hit on Monday, which was a fabulous activity with enthusiastic atmosphere. Not only did the hosts’ standard accents have impressed me deeply, but also the beautiful songs brought me a joyful experience. I appreciated every performance, where I saw my classmates’ different talents and realize their efforts offstage. In a word, the activity offered us an opportunity to lose the academic burden for a while to enjoy the charm of English songs.

高一9班 程子宁

This Monday, the whole grade attended an English song contest. The songs my class chose were We Are the World and Try Everything which were selected by all the classmates together. Since we had been practicing it for about a month, all the students looked forward to it.

The event was held in the school’s auditorium. Our class was the third to present, so many students were reviewing their music score over and over. When the host announced that it was our time to sing, we all rushed onto the stage, nervous and excited. Our conductor, Song Zhifei, directed us calmly and smoothly while the whole class sang with all their efforts. While singing the song, many of us couldn’t help moving with the rhythm. When both songs ended, we received warm applause which gave us a great sense of achievement.

It was not only the “Best Singing Award” from the competition we got, but also a sense of collective honor and the gratitude we expressed to the class, teachers and the world that touched me most. Everyone did their best to take part in this activity, and I suppose that’s the true meaning of this contest.

这次的英语合唱比赛是一次有趣的活动。年级各班的同学们在这次活动中都充分的展示了自己与本班的特色。在一首又一首的歌曲演唱的过程中，我感觉自己的艺术鉴赏素养不断被提高。重要的是，对英语学习并积累的兴趣越来越高，越来越有动力。作为一个全班都可参加的比赛，这次活动也很好的培养了班级的团队精神，使班内每个同学的心连的更紧了，增强了班级的凝聚力。这次活动无疑是一次成功并且有意义的活动。

高一11班张嘉霖

Although I’m one of the organizers of our class’s choir, I have to admit that I seldom took part in activities as a leader, which was due to the fact that for me, following was easier than directing. However, throughout the entire process, my classmates offered me lots of help. We always brainstormed together for new ideas, and among them, I especially loved the idea of flying paper airplanes onto the stage, which was proposed just three days before the show. My classmates quickly responded to our request of making 60 paper airplanes at the weekend and everybody performed well during the performance, which did a spectacular job on heating the atmosphere.

This event enhanced my self-confidence and provided me with valuable experience of leadership. In addition, I made progress in English. I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers who organized this event for giving me an opportunity to improve. Also, I owe my classmates a thank-you - it’s you who made me harvest such precious friendship.

高一12班 陈子殷

A school English singing competition ended on December 4th. As a competitor, I worked hard with my partners, tried our best to win honor for our class. Our classmates and teachers gave us advice without reservation. Each of us finished with an almost perfect performance, our melodious lyrics and graceful voice tugged at everyone’s heartstrings, winning storms of cheers and applause. This activity benefited us a lot. Not only did it improve our English ability, but it also provided a great chance for us to show ourselves. It enriched our high school life and helped us get relief from stress.

At the news of the competition, a lot of classmates started asking me questions about it anxiously. Their tension actually made me less nervous because it meant that they took this contest seriously and were eager to be fully prepared. In the next few weeks, we grabbed every chance to practise. So on the morning of the event, I was confident that we were well prepared as possible as we could. When it was our turn to stand on the stage and the spotlight shone in my eyes, I felt a sense of excitement. As the background music began playing, our voices, united in one, resounded through the entire hall instantly. I was so immersed in it that I barely noticed the time passed ! In the end, we gained not only a collective prize by working hard as a team to prepare, but also a tighter bond among us, which I suppose is the true meaning of this group activity.
